The Multi-Donor Action Team Europe Initiative Investing in Young Businesses in Africa - Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (TEI IYBA WE4A) is jointly co-financed by the European Union (EU), the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific State (OACPS) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) through the BMZ-funded multi-donor project Employment Promotion for Women for the Green Transformation in Africa (WE4D).? The IYBA WE4A programme directly contributes to increasing the economic participation of women and gender equality. The overall objective (impact) of the IYBA WE4A programme is to create sustainable, inclusive, green growth in selected African countries (Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo and Uganda). The specific objective (outcome) of the programme is: The economic empowerment and financial inclusion of women entrepreneurs in sectors contributing to the green transformation in selected Sub-Saharan countries is increased. Furthermore, the programme aims at creating and securing existing jobs in the supported women-led businesses, enhancing their capacities and promoting their growth path. IYBA WE4A seeks support to strengthen ESOs and to adapt green BDS to support thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems. This will enable IYBA WE4A women entrepreneurs to access customized green BDS. The aim of the assignment is to strengthen the capacities of pre-selected ESOs in the 7 partner countries (except Malawi) and to support women entrepreneurs with green BDS, approximately 7-21. The focus shall be on women entrepreneurs with green businesses or business ideas.
